Up-to-Date and Accurate information regarding D8THC

November 17, 2021 Posted by VCS in The News

There’s been a lot of discussion recently about the benefits of d8 for pets. VCS co-founder and veterinarian oncologist, Dr. Trina Hazzah, tells us “The phytocannabinoid, Δ-8THC, has demonstrated the potential to have medicinal benefits, however my concern is the potential for unintentional exposure to the patient to unnatural occurring isomers that can be formed with CBD is converted to Δ-8THC as well as the exposure to residual solvents. This is especially of concern when the production and manufacturing of Δ-8THC is performed in a non cGMP facility by untrained individuals.”

The Society Cannabis Clinicians also released a consensus statement about d8. To learn more, click here.
